Wanted:
* One traveling compaion
* One month of PTO
* Gas/food/lodging money
In the olden days I would have gone an adventure like this on my own, but I think we've learned that the older I get, the more I don't *want* to do these things on my own...so instead, I'll hang tight and hope for all of the above to magically appear.
Note: Grand Canyon, Jordan, New Orleans, Graceland, Tonya, David, Outer Banks, Mackinaw Island, Leigh, Kristy, Jason and 15 states I've never visited -- I'm coming to see you. One day.
Ooooooh man. Because I will be unemployed in a week, I keep thinking about taking some kind of trip before I officially start looking for a new job. (I have applied to one on a whim - if that magically comes through, no vacation.) I was thinking more somewhere alone for a weekend, and couldn't do much more because I DON'T have PTO, but you have my brain-wheels turning more. So tempted to set out on a road trip by myself!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're dangerously close to the World's Largest Ball of Paint in Muncie, Indiana. If you come within a state of me, I'm free to join for two or three days. And my house is always available for free and entertaining lodging.

OMG, YES! Anywhere in PA is easy enough for a weekend trip. If I'm still unemployed in October, I will have all the free time in the world. But you know, I'm hoping I will actually find a job. In that case, it will depend on my work schedule. But keep me updated, and I will do my best to come meet you!

Lizzie will only be 2ish hours away! She must come join us! (We will be near Cumberland, MD, not far from Deep Creek Lake!) Also, I think I secured free and lovely lodging for us today at a friends guest house. And by guest house I mean, it's just an extra house she happens to own and have renovated.
