Internet, I cannot explain how much pain I am in after a heinous calf exercise as part of Friday night's boxing class. If I don't wake up tomorrow and feel 1,000 times better I'm not going to be able to go to work. This is RE-DONK.
I was starting to feel the pain set in Saturday evening but this morning I woke up at 6AM, unable to sleep through the pain and starting to panic about how I was going to the bathroom, even though the toilet is probably no more than six feet from my bed.
In an effort to get up and at 'em I boldly rode my bike to coffee with my parents but bike riding doesn't require me to put weight on my calves so it worked out okay until I was sitting at Peet's and started to feel my legs tightening up again.
Plus, I had my third tattoo removal session yesterday and I'm nursing a kick ass collection of blisters and what looks like some blood collecting under the skin.
Basically, I'm a mess.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me wake up tomorrow and be mobile. I hate this. If I am, I'm totally going to the same guy's boxing class to be all OMGWTF DID YOU DO TO ME and also to see if anyone else from that class needed their legs amputated.
And for the record, we're not just talking about normal muscle soreness here. I *like* feeling my muscles shout at me for a few days after a kickass workout -- this is debilitating.

What was the verdict? Were you mobile this morning? Sounds like you went beyond normal muscle fatigue and maybe tore something???
ReplyDeleteDo you still have a leg or did they have to amputate?
